About me
I grew up in Clawson, Michigan, outside of Detroit. I graduated from high school and that summer started teaching at Singers Sewing Machines. Back then when you bought a sewing machine you received lesson for care and maintenance. After a couple of months I started teaching "dress making".
I got married and moved to Canada and then to Florida. Enough of that cold weather! Became an adult and had two kids. I am still married to the same guy and have a grand daughter and one more little one on the way. Life is good most of the time.
interestsI think I must have been 8 or 9 when I started sewing. I am short and everything always had to be adjusted somehow so why bother! I just started making my clothes. />When I had my kids I sewed for them. My daughter always had the best prom dresses. They were nothing like the other girls dresses. Now that I have a grand daughter I have been sewing some for her and decided to try my hand at the retail world.
favorite musicMy music taste is very broad. I can listen to classical one day and then classic rock the next. I can be in the mood for Jimmy Buffet and then listen to Barbara sing Memories. Of course my great love is always old Motown. Give me a little Marvin Gaye or some Smokey and I am a happy woman.
favorite tv showsI try to catch Oprah everyday. I normally either have HGTV or the Foodnetwork on. I am not big on reality shows. I don't find them tooo real. But Brothers and Sisters is my new favorite weekly show.
favorite moviesI am a movie person. I must watch atleast a movie a day. I love chic flix. Sleepless in Seatle, French Kiss, Same Time Next Year, While You Were Sleeping........and on and on.
favorite gamesNot big into games. I do play solitaire or bejeweled on the computer to unwind before shutting it off.
favorite booksI have little time for reading. I go through spirts and have this idea that if I start a book and I can't stop. I think that I have to finish it so nothing else gets any attention till the book is read.
