You can wrap this around you and be hands free to perform other duties. The two rings that I use are called sling-rings. They have been made out of aluminum just for this purpose. They are not the cheap craft department rings. These are made by the sling-ring company and have been tested to not bend while holding a baby up to 35 pounds!
